Spring Break: Dad style
Dear Izzy, Max, and Kate,
Last week was spring break for you kids so I took off Thursday and Friday and we made a long weekend of it. It was far from the spring break’s of the mid 90’s, but it was so much better:
After a quiet day at home on Thursday we went to Margaritaville for lunch and then the zoo on Friday.
Although you looked at a few of the animals, you were mostly interested in various ways to spend money…rides, cotton candy, drinks, popcorn, etc. We had a great time though!
Saturday we went to the egg hunt at Thompson Station Church. Max, you may be stronger, but Kate left you in the dust at the starting line.
Not sure this expensive Matilda Jane dress was meant for “yard work”
Kate always appreciates her body guard
The girls sorting the bounty
getting 3 kids to pose nicely in their Easter outfits is easier said than done
Let’s try a seated pose instead…
Then it was out of the church clothes and onto the serious business of tractor riding with Papaw
Kate, you mostly stayed hugged up on Nana
Everyone commented on how big you’re getting Izzy.
It looks like I actually sat down at some point with a cup of coffee to watch a front yard game of corn hole.
Who needs Panama City. I had an awesome time with my family for 4 days.
Training (final days of recovery week. Back to serious business next week):
Friday: Biked 35 miles
Saturday: Biked 41 miles
Sunday: Ran 7 miles
