Erin Baker’s Wholesome Baked Goods review
Dear Izzy, Max, and Kate,
I stumbled upon Erin Baker’s breakfast cookies around the same time I got involved in triathlon. I don’t recall exactly, but I’m sure I saw a Triathlete magazine ad and thought “I need triathlon cookies.”
That was 2002. Though Erin Baker started her company in 1994 in a 4-H Kitchen, it was in 2002 when Baker’s Breakfast cookies became the official sponsor of the USA Triathlon team.
Of course I ordered the cookies by the dozen (usually two dozen). Mommy and I ate them for breakfast, for snacks, and sometimes just for a treat.
I was a triathlete. So I ate Baker’s Breakfast cookies. That’s what triathletes did in 2002 and still do today – along with thousands of of other people who care what goes into their bodies.
Baker’s company has grown over the years, expanding to granolas and mini cookies. One thing has remained a constant though, Erin Baker’s refusal to compromise on the healthy, all natural, ingredients.
The short of it: these cookies are good. Really good. That’s why the business has lasted.
And there’s the fact that Erin Baker is a driven entrepreneur who did things her way – never borrowing money along the way.
I was fortunate to get a sample pack from Erin Baker’s Baked Goods recently to review here on Trifatherhood.com. I immediately tore into the goodies. Baker’s makes 6 varieties of “Homestyle Granola” and another 3 varieties of “Endurance Granola”.
Both are excellent, as expected. I’ve had each by the handful, cold as cereal, warm with milk, and sprinkled over greek yogurt.

About Homestyle granola from bbcookies.com:
Delicious, all natural and baked to perfection, our Homestyle Granola is sure to satisfy. Filled with big clusters of rolled oats and honey, premium dried fruits, nuts, all natural peanut butter and dark Belgian chocolate, there is a flavor for everyone. Loaded with whole grains and packed with Omega-3’s, antioxidants and fiber, our granola is great teamed up with milk, yogurt, or just eaten right out of the bag.
I also received 3 of the traditional “breakfast cookies”: Morning Glory, Chocolate Chunk Raisin, and Double Chocolate Chunk.
The classics are as good I remembered.
The Original Breakfast Cookie is something you can feel good about eating. Baked fresh with heart-healthy whole grains and sweetened with fruit puree, our cookies combine the flavors we all love with a heartiness that satisfies for hours. Packed with protein, antioxidants, fiber and complex carbohydrates, it is a healthy and delicious way to start your day. Every Breakfast Cookie is handcrafted in our own bakery using the finest ingredients available. You can taste the exceptional quality in each bite.
They come in 11 flavors, along with a few more seasonal flavors.
Morning Glory blends apples, walnuts, coconut, raisins and carrot cake spices
Chocolate Chunk Raisin pairs Belgian chocolate chunks and raisins
Double chocolate chunk includes whole grain oats, cocoa, and chocolate chunks
All of the cookies are soft and chewy. The taste natural – which is a good thing in the world of healthy foods and “energy bars” where you so often find chemical flavors overpowering any real ingredients.
I recommend these products for anyone looking for great tasting meal options or snacks – without the worry of what sorts of chemical engineering is going into their bodies. Our whole family feels good about Erin Baker’s products.
I love you,
